MISS NICOLE- MATH

Hello students! My name is Miss Nicole. I will be your Math, Bible, and Photography teacher. We are going to start class by doing math.

This 'year' we will be studying basic mathematics. You should all be able to strive and achieve good grades. We will allow no late homework, no care about work, and suchlike. Everyone is smart, in some way or another, so don't worry if you don't get hundreds every time! Let's do the best we can. however, before we begin today's lesson, please comment down below if you take math class. I would like to know.

Today we will be starting addition. Please study the following sheets.

OK? Got it? Addition is one of the most easiest math equations you will ever learn. OK, here's your homework. Please submit it in by the next class time. Just fill the answers in a comment. Or if you know my email address, e-mail me.

That's it for this week!!! :)

MISS NICOLE- BIBLE

Hello students! This 'year' in Bible, we will be studying the creation of the world. But before we begin, I want to say this. I am a Christian, so if you do not agree with my beliefs, please do not join this class or say rude things.Thank you.

For this 'quarter' we will be studying the Old Testament. Yes, I know the yadda-yadda you're going to tell me. And I don't blame you! I used to think the old testament was boring too, but now that I 'get it' it's awesome!

Please read the following story.

The Creation:  (via DLTK)

In the beginning there was no earth or sky or sea or animals.  And then God spoke in the darkness:  “Let there be light!”  And right away there was light, scattering the darkness and showing the infinite space.  “That’s good!” said God.  “From now on, when it’s dark it will be ‘night” and when it’s light, it will be ‘day’.”
The evening came and the night passed and then the light returned.  That was the first day.
On the second day, God made the earth and over it He carefully hung a vast blue sky.  He stood back and admired His creation.  “That’s good too!” said God and the second day was over.
The next morning God looked around and thought, “the earth needs to be a bit more organized.”  So, He put all the water in one place and all the dry land in another.  When He had finished that, God made plants to cover the land.  Dandelions and daffodils appeared.  All sorts of trees and grasses began to grow.  “It’s looking great”, said God and that was the end of the third day.
On the fourth day, God looked around and though, “the daylight still needs a bit more work and the night is just too dark.”  So, He made the sun to light the sky during the day and the moon and stars to add a bit of sparkle to the night.  He hung them in the sky and stepped back to look at his work.  “This is coming along very well,”  said God.
The next day, God turned his attention to the water he had collected in the oceans.  “I want these waters teeming with life!”  As soon as He said it, it was so.  In no time, there were millions of small fish darting through the shallow water and huge fish swimming in the ocean.  God made birds, too.  He sent them soaring through the air.  “Ahh, that IS good!, “said God.  The dusk fell over the water and the sky grew dark and that was the end of the fifth day.
On the sixth day, God added creatures to the land.  He made lions and tigers and bears.  He made rabbits and sheep and cows.  He added everything from ants to zebras to the land.  But He still felt something was missing.  So God added Mankind to enjoy and take care of all that He had created.  God looked around and was happy with all He had made.
After six days, the whole universe was completed.  On the seventh day God had a nice long rest and enjoyed looking at all He had made.

OK, that was fairly easy right ? That's the assignment for this time. Read the story. ^^^ Comment and tell me if you did below. Plus, say if you take Bible class.
Now our Bible routine will be like this: Read story one day. Next class we will discuss and and answer questions. Personally I would look forward to the day we read the story!

Miss Nicole-Photography.

OK, this is the class where I'm gonna be like you.
I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY. OK, THAT IS A LITTLE TOO MUCH, BUT ITS TRUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :)

lol.

But photogrpahy is awesome. So today we'll be talking about cameras.

 This is my story:

I got a camera after lots of begging a few yearsa go for Christmas. I loved it and I would take lots of pictures. Then for the next Christmas I got a tripod, since I had been begging for one since I had gotten to know dolls a bit better. But, 2 to 3 days after I got it, my camera went black and blank while I was trying to film a video. So, now, for this Christmas, on my wishlist is - a camera! And which camera? Read on.

So your assignment is tell me if you have a camera, and if you do, which brand and model it is, and if you don't, do you want one, and if you do, which brand and model would you like? And tell me if you take this class.

Okay b-

Oops I have to tell you which camera's on my wishlist, right?
OK. Shoot.

This is freaky.

Top secret.

OK?

I'm freaked.

Great.

Ok.

Here goes.

Nothing.

I want

the

NIKON SOMETHING.

Huh? Are you OK, Miss Nicole?

Yes I am. See, I want a Nikon something. I'm not telling you exactly what Nikon, but at least you know it's a Nikon :)

OK, bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hairdressing class-Learn how to do a fishtail braid

In this first assignment I thought you would like to start off with a fish tail braid. It look's harder than it is but it's actually quite easy. So, lets begin...

First you will need a hair brush (if you cannot get a American girl brand brush than one from a hair dresser shop for hair extensions will do, as long as it has metal bristles.) You will also need a hair band or two (preferably one that you have not used in you hair, as this might make your doll's hair sticky) and lastly, a lot of patience.

And so grab your doll, a hairbrush and hairbands, and let's get started! I have included a video tutorial on doing a fishtail braid from Doll Diaries.
Once you have done a fishtail braid that you are satisfied with, (this may take a bit of practice), then please email a photo of it to Miss Adeline, by the 15th of November. Your grades will be posted as soon as possible. Have fun!

Sewing assignment reminder

Dear Students,
I only have one sewing assignment that has been turned in so far, and that is Paige Kenlee's. Since she is the only student who has turned in her assignment yet, I am extending the deadline by a week, so now they will have to be in by: November 13. I hope that the rest of you will be working hard getting them ready!

History Assignment Grades

Dear Students,
Here are the grades which you got for your History Assignment where you had to draw a colonial gown. We had quite a few entries for this one, and they were all beautiful!

This is Cara's one. Isn't it just beautiful? I really like the gathered sleeves.
Wow Janet! Those stripes were very inventive!

I love the Stomacher on yours Kaya!

I like all the pretty decoration on the bodice!

Your gown is perfect for a ball, Melody!

I love the gorgeous floral fabric on this one, Rikki!

Now, you all did really well! Here are your grades:

Cara: I really liked your picture, however, this is meant to be 1774 in America, and those kind of sleeves weren't really seen until a bit later, and I don't really think that they were worn much in America. However, your drawing was still really good, so I give you...............

B+!

Well done, Cara!

Janet: Your picture was really unique! Except that the patchwork skirt and vertical stripes aren't really authentic, but you still got the general idea in the style. I give you...................

C+!

Great job, Janet!

Kaya: I loved your picture! The gown was very authentic, even down to the beautiful detail on the stomacher, and the ruffles on the elbow-length sleeves! I give you.....................

A+

Fantastic effort, Kaya!

Kit: I liked your picture, but unfortunately, the style of the gown you drew wasn't really seen until a bit later. And the accuracy isn't perfect, considering if you put the gown in 1774, then it looks kinda like the sort of dress a servant would wear, but you put decoration on the bodice, and gave the lady a necklace. I still really liked it, but unfortunately it wasn't as accurate as some of the other ones, as it looked like something out of the 1790's to the early 1800's. Here is your grade........................

C!

Very nice, Kit!

Melody: Your gown looks pretty much exactly like something that Felicity or Elizabeth would wear to the Christmas Eve ball! However, the gold fabric and lace isn't really very authentic, as only very rich people would be able to afford it. But.....the green and pink are perfect, and so is the beaded choker! I award you with.....................

A!

Fantabulous job, Melody!

Rikki: I think your dress is as good as Kaya's! This would be a perfect dress for wearing at home, so not too fancy, but still very elegant. The long sleeves would make this an ideal dress to wear in the colder months, and the pleated lace ruffle on the neckline is very authentic, exactly like what they would've worn back then. I will give you...................

A+!

Fabulous picture, Rikki!
